Fans shouldn’t assume that their real-life experiences will dictate their fictional characters’ storylines, but it’s still fascinating to know that the actors are entering this season with an entirely new chapter unfolding in their personal lives.
And for Erin Krakow, there is an especially touching parallel between her career and her new role as a mother.
For more than a decade, audiences have watched her portray Elizabeth Thornton as she navigated love, loss, motherhood, family, friendship, and life in Hope Valley. Now Krakow is experiencing motherhood herself for the first time.
That doesn’t make Elizabeth’s story any more or less real—it simply gives fans another reason to celebrate the woman portraying her.
