There is something wonderfully exciting about discovering a Hallmark Christmas movie while it is still being filmed. Before the finished movie arrives with its sparkling decorations, snowy scenes, romantic moments, and perfectly timed Christmas music, fans get a rare little glimpse behind the curtain.
That is exactly what is happening with The Christmas Eve Feast, a 2026 Hallmark holiday production starring Kevin McGarry and Daniella Monet.
The movie is currently being reported as a working title, with production taking place in Ontario. Industry and production reports identify McGarry and Monet as the leads, with Stefan Scaini directing. (Bluesky Social)
And even though many story details are still being kept quiet, the title alone has already sparked plenty of curiosity.
The Christmas Eve Feast.
It sounds like the kind of title that immediately brings Christmas traditions to mind: a beautifully decorated table, family gathered together, delicious food, warm conversations, twinkling lights, and perhaps two people discovering that the holiday has something unexpected in store for them.
For Hallmark fans, that combination is irresistible.
Kevin McGarry is, of course, already a very familiar face to the Hallmark family. Hearties know him especially well as Nathan Grant on When Calls the Heart, but his Christmas movie appearances have also given viewers plenty of opportunities to see his romantic and comedic sides.
This new project gives him another chance to step into a completely different character.
And then there is Daniella Monet.
Some viewers may remember her from her earlier television work, while Hallmark audiences have also seen her in Holiday Crashers. Hallmark’s holiday programming has included her among its returning and new holiday talent, making her pairing with McGarry an especially interesting addition to the 2026 lineup. (Newswire)
